Who is responsible for your data

NewEducare operates this site and decides how the personal data described here is used. For any question about this policy or to exercise a right under it, write to us through the contact page.

What we collect

Account data. Your name, email address and an encrypted form of your password. We never see or store your password in a readable form.

Test data. The attempts you start, the answers you give, the time you spend on each question, and the scores and reports produced from them. This is the substance of the service: without it there is no report and no way to compare attempts.

Leaderboard. The leaderboard in your dashboard shows your points and place. Your name (first name and surname initial) appears only if you turn this on yourself; otherwise other students see only a number in place of your name.

AI Tutor. AI Tutor lessons are not recorded as audio; the lesson's written transcript and a short note per question (the type of mistake, the hints given) are kept with your account and deleted when your account is deleted.

AP practice tests. While you take an AP practice test, your answers are kept in your browser until the test ends, so that they are not lost if the page reloads; they are deleted when you hand the test in.

Purchase data. What you bought, when, for how much, and the reference our payment processor assigns to the transaction. We do not receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code at any point.

Technical data. Standard server logs, which include IP address, browser and the pages requested. These are used to keep the service running and secure.

Account security. To keep each account to one session at a time and to prevent account sharing and bulk copying of our content, when you sign in we record one-way hashed digests of your browser's user agent and of your network block (the first three parts of your IP address), your session identifier, the site you signed in on, and when a session was closed because of a sign-in on another of our sites or another device. A new sign-in to your account closes all your other sessions. We do not store your IP address or browser string themselves for this purpose and we do not use device fingerprinting. These records are deleted 90 days after last use. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.

Why we use it

• To give you an account and let you sign in (performance of a contract).
• To run tests, mark them and produce your reports (performance of a contract).
• To take payment and give you access to what you bought (performance of a contract).
• To answer support requests (legitimate interest in running the service).
• To detect abuse, fraud and attacks (legitimate interest in security).
• To measure which pages are used, so the catalogue is shaped by evidence rather than guesswork (consent — you are asked first, and the service works identically if you decline).
• To keep records required by tax and accounting law (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your answers or results for advertising.

Shared account system

NewEducare is one of a group of test-preparation sites that share a single account system and a single database. If you already have an account with another site in that group, it is the same account here. Your account details and test history are therefore held in that shared system rather than in a separate NewEducare-only store.

What you have purchased is recorded per product and per site, so a purchase made on one site does not grant access on another.

Processors we use

• Stripe — payment processing. You enter card details directly on Stripe’s own form; they are not transmitted to us.
• Supabase — database and authentication hosting for the shared account system.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
• Resend — transactional email, such as password resets and purchase confirmations.
• Google Analytics — page-level usage measurement. Cookies and any identifier for you are set only if you allow them; until then the tag runs with storage denied and sends only a cookieless page-view signal. No name, email, answer or score is ever sent to Google. See the cookie policy.

Each of these acts on our instructions under a data-processing agreement. Some are located outside the country you are in; transfers are made under the safeguards those providers maintain for international transfers.

How long we keep it

• Account and test data: for as long as your account is open.
• Inactive accounts: deleted after a period of continuous inactivity, with the deletion recorded in a deletion audit log with the account details described below.
• For an account deleted this way, we keep a record of the deletion (the email address; the dates the account was opened, last used and deleted; the number of practice tests deleted with it) for 2 years, then erase it.
• We also use this record to stop a new account opened with the same email address from getting the free trial again (the free practice tests, the question bank's sample questions and the AI Tutor trial). Anything you buy is not affected. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering the free trial once per person.
• Purchase and invoice records: for the period tax law requires, which is longer than the life of the account.
• Server logs: a short rolling window, then discarded.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to object to a use based on legitimate interest. Where a use relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Ask through the contact page from the email address on the account. We verify the request before acting on it, because acting on an unverified request would itself be a breach. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Several of the exams we publish practice tests for are taken by school-age candidates. If you are under the age at which you can agree to online services in your country, ask a parent or guardian to create the account and agree to the terms on your behalf.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date below. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
