Is the GMAT practice test timed like the real exam?

Yes. Each section runs to the official time limit, the timer continues if you leave the tab, and the test submits itself when time runs out — the same constraint you face on test day.

Can I retake a GMAT practice test?

Yes. A purchased test can be re-sat for as long as you have access to it, and each attempt is stored separately so you can compare them. The retake allowance for a specific test is shown on that test's page.

Do I get explanations for the GMAT questions I get wrong?

Yes. After you submit, every question can be reviewed with your answer, the correct answer and a worked explanation. Explanations are not sent to the browser before you submit.
