Cookie policy

We set only what the service needs to work. There is no advertising cookie on this site and nothing here tracks you across other sites.

What we set

Authentication cookies. Set when you sign in, so that each page you open knows it is you. Without these you would be signed out on every navigation, and a test could not be attributed to your account. These are strictly necessary.

Session refresh cookies. Rotated as you browse to keep your sign-in valid and to limit the damage a stolen cookie could do. Also strictly necessary.

Payment cookies. Set by Stripe within its own checkout frame, to process the payment and to detect fraud. These are necessary for a payment to complete, and only appear when you are at checkout. Stripe’s use of them is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

Browser storage during a test

While you are taking a test we also keep a copy of your answers in your browser’s local storage. This is not a cookie and is never sent to us on its own; it exists so that a dropped connection or a closed tab does not lose your work. It is cleared when the test is submitted.

What we do not set

There are no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels and no cross-site profiling on this site. We do not sell or share what you do here with advertisers.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Everything we set is strictly necessary for a function you asked for — signing in, staying signed in, or paying — so there is nothing here for you to consent to or decline. If that changes, we will ask before setting anything new.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and block them per site. Blocking cookies from neweducare.com will sign you out and prevent you from taking a test, because there will be no way to tell one visitor from another. Blocking Stripe’s cookies will prevent payment from completing.

More

How we handle personal data more generally is set out in the privacy policy.
