  • Clinical Setting (Back Office): Maintain and Manage orders by the provider for the patient

  • Clinical Setting (Back Office): Use the management software for e-prescription.

  • Clinical Setting (Back Office): other duties as necessary

  • Medical Billing: Performing medical billing for each patient for reimbursement purposes. 

  • Medical Billing: Performing patient collection.

  • Understand provider related functions such as order procedures, referrals, lab requisitions, results to the test, records pertaining to immunization, appointment for future, patient progress documentation, patient communication, notification from the office.

  • Using computer software to send prescriptions (e-prescriptions) to pharmacies. 

  • Perform billing on patients account using the encounter form or superbills.

  • Understand explanation of benefits and posting payments

  • Understand remittance advice and posting payments.

  • Using the software to send statement to patient.

  • Using the software to bill the secondary insurance of the patient

  • Understand patient records and its elements.

  • Describe responsibilities pertaining to patient records.

  • Understand the various format of patient records such as (CHEDDAR, SOR, POR, etc)

  • Describe records that are archived.
